Defining job costing form

Displays the summary information about a job, including the status. Only jobs with an Active status can be invoiced or have costs allocated to them

Field Description
Job Number Number assigned to the job on saving and controlled by System Numbers Setting Description JobNo
Job Description Type in the relative description for the job
Actual Start Date The date work commenced on the project
Actual Finish Date Date the job was completed
Status There are three statuses that can apply
  • Active - job can have costs allocated and can be invoiced
  • Inactive - may be on hold, may not have been started yet. Costs cannot be allocated nor invoices raised
  • Closed - job have been invoiced and/or had goods produced and is finalised. Costs cannot be allocated nor invoices raised
